Karan Bagadiya

Educator-Teacher-Coach-Mentor

Before I tell you about me (boring!), Iā€™d like to tell you about my journey so far (interesting!).

I did my schooling in Pune. It was very clear from the beginning that I loved to overuse my mind! And play sports (not great at any one though).

Expectedly, I joined the herd in preparing for the IIT-JEE (arguably the toughest undergraduate exam in the world!). And I proudly made it to IIT Kanpur to pursue a degree in Aerospace Engineering!

I had a realization there. Although, I loved learning (I enjoyed my studies), I did not enjoy my research work. I was not a good engineer either. Similarly, I enjoyed my consulting role at PwC, yet I yearned for the feeling of creating direct impact.

And this is when I decided to take up two professions as I call it. I came back to my home town and started teaching (Profession I), and I started ardently spending time in Yoga-Meditation-Squash! (Profession II)

So, I left my lucrative consulting job only to find that teaching is precisely my passion ā€“ to help students unearth their potential.
And since the better half of the last decade, I have been formally training students (over a thousand now), guiding them from start to finish, donning hats of a concept-builder, doubt-solver and most importantly that of mentor-coach. The key aspect of my teaching pedagogy is to hone the reasoning skills of each student - train how to think.

Along the way, I was visiting faculty at a leading national coaching institute for Indian exams such as the CAT. Also, I was visiting faculty at an industry-leading standardized test preparation coaching institute for international exams such as the GMAT and the GRE.

I continue to enjoy squash, yoga and meditation and training people for standardized tests. I love to train them not only with a vision of a better score, honing their reasoning skillset and educating them holistically. As someone who has taken these standardized tests multiple times, I understand what students go through. Therefore, one of the most important aspects of my teaching is to train the students to manage the test-related stress better and to approach the entire course mindfully.

My aspiration is to train the students across India for CAT and across the globe for GMAT and GRE.
